Love, betrayal, espionage, oh and also an alien invasion, "Strength of the soul" has it all! Saddletramp1956 wrote a story with realistic characters and a great plot that has several twists. You'll root for Mike who is going through a difficult period in his life while he's also faced with an important mission. The story is set in an alternatively history of Earth, which works well. I like the details mentioned to how people lived in that time, Saddletramp1956 did a great job with that.
I loved reading this story. On the technical side, however, there is something annoying going on with an ñ symbol that pops up in weird places. The story could definitely need a polish. Still, although annoying it doesn't distract too much from reading it.
As I stated, the story also has several great plot twists, which sets this story apart from your typical BTB stories. I think he really raised the bar with this one considering the twists in the plot. It's a relatively short story, but Saddletramp1956 takes his time to build it up well and with every page more details are revealed until you can paint a complete picture.
