To state the obvious, I have A Thing for stories about polyamorous teens. Especially queer poly teen romances with minimal internal tensions. This is exactly that sort of catnip. That it’s also well-written with engaging and rounded characters only makes me &heart; it all the more. (Do reviews support encoded characters? If not, here’s some heart emojis: ❤💓♥💖. The story deserves ’em.)
Small cities are not known for tolerance for queers, so when Naomi wants to go out with Carol, she comes up with a plan — she’ll publicly “date” Carol’s brother, Tyler, with Carol along as “chaperone,” but in private she’ll actually be with Carol. Sounds like a good plan, right? What could go wrong?
Yeah, not so much. Fortunately it goes wrong in all the right ways. I’ll avoid specific spoilers, but the final configuration involves sibling incest — so Content Warning for that, if you don’t pay attention to the story codes.
A sweet poly teen romance — I love it. Recommended.
