I'm not going to inject politics into this review other than to say that I am very tired of COVID and hearing news stories about the cluster f**k that is Afghanistan.
That being said, I started to read "Bagram Rescue" with not a little bit of trepidation, feeling like it was going to be painful. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, there was enemy action and the main character was hurt, but what transpires next is really great.
It's not a long story, and to give it away would be too easy. Let's just say that Thomas, our hero, is able to pull a rabbit out of a hat with the help of a young woman. This old romantic had to read it twice, and I'm giving it a perfect score across the board. You have GOT to read this one. Thanks, Cutlass!
