I've reviewed several of Todd_d172's here on SOL. He's become one of my favorite SOL authors - particularly his series of stories about Needles and Delaney.
His most recent N&D story is named "The Shack: An Unstoppable Man", and is the 4th story in the series. While this can stand on its own, you'll get FAR more satisfaction out of reading it by reading the other stories first:

2. The Shack: an Unreasonable Man
3. The Shack: an Implacable Man
and now. for our pleasure, "The Shack: An Unstoppable Man", has arrived. It even has a subtitle - "Needles & Delaney: Napalm Burrito Overdrive"!
Todd_d172 sometimes has a dark side to his writing, though that's more evident in some of his other stories, but there's plenty of danger and drama here, too, and especially, a huge amount of sardonic humor and witty repartee between the characters. Perhaps the darkness in this series is tempered a bit because of Todd_d172's spouse being involved in developing the plot. But whatever, I have enjoyed all of them tremendously.
So, this is MY kind of story, and you may well find that it's yours, too. I hope they keep coming regularly, along with others in "The Shack" world. All are great stories with unforgettable characters.
