It's been a while that I haven't reviewed a story. Nothing seemed to pull at the strings of my heart, making a connection, until I read this story. It's not just a story, it's a beautiful, emotional work of art with lots of unforgettable expressions. The one that is stuck in my mind is "he lived with a hope that was impossible." It's absolutely breathtaking and soul-stirring.
It's an easy read in the way the author choses his words, the cadence of every sentence, carrying the reader forward to unfold the next scene, to understand the true nature of the human condition.
But it is not only the human condition that the author explores. The author does an excellent job by including man's best friend in the plot. He is able to personify this four-legged creature as a sensitive being just like the main character, experiencing needs, sorrow, love and hope.
It's an uplifting story for the reader who may have experienced life-ending illnesses. There are lessons in this story about coping and surviving.
