This was an absolutely fun tale, with just a touch of Halloween and magic thrown in.
There are some magical people including a delightful pixie that you don't want to get on the wrong side of. There is a nasty egotistic male warlock-type who actually threatens the Earth due to not reading the instructions for the spell he wants to use.
In the middle of all of this comes Millie Hooper, mundane, small chest, easy to get along with. The chosen victim for this male warlock. Then the fun begins as she gets dumped out of her boyfriend's car on the way to this important Halloween party run by her heartthrob - not her current boyfriend. Staggering in the dark she befriends a small pixie who has almost disappeared due to letting people down too many times so it is her last night on this Earth.
If you can't imagine a pixie with more holes in her than a cheesegrater then look up Anjelica Huston and Bette Midler in "Death Becomes Her" and you might understand.
I will leave it to you to discover how this mundane unassuming lady becomes the heroine, saving not just the pixie but her future boyfriend, and the Earth too.
I loved this tale. Loved Millie and Lilluth, the Pixie. Loved the way she gets out of the situations and the end was good too.
I have put forward a stack of corrections so maybe Kin takes note and fixes up the grammatical problems in this tale.
For now, I can give this a 7 for a great Plot. A 6 for Technical Merit (until corrections are made) and a 9 for Appeal to the Reviewer. I enjoyed this quirky tale, I hope you do too.
