An era is over. This was the last of "The Grim Reaper" stories.
rlfj has concluded the series with a fitting end, which I had thought would be an impossible task. But thankfully, I was wrong.
I will re-read "The Grim Reaper: Reaper Security Consulting" eventually, as I have my previous favorites of his work - "A Fresh Start", "A Fresh Start - Epilogue", "The Grim Reaper", "The Grim Reaper: Adventures in Southern Law Enforcement", some of them three times. All of them are wonderful stories, giving us many hours of reading pleasure.
The nice thing is that we can revisit these as old friends, already knowing how the stories will go, and just letting them carry us along in their world. It's a rich experience.
If you haven't read these stories, or bought the books, you're missing out on a wonderful experience. One that can be relived whenever you decide to pick up one of the books again and leave your world for a while to revel in the world created by this author.
Farewell, Grim. We'll miss you.
