It's a little early to review this story because only 11 Chapters have been published so far, but I'm doing it so that SOL readers who might otherwise overlook it will become aware that an exceptional story is in progress.
Wayzgoose (aka Aroslav, et. al.) is one of the finest authors on SOL. His stories are always interesting, and the technical aspects of his writing are always top-notch.
This story is about a teenage (about 15 years old) male American "Royal" coming of age. It delves into aspects of a pseudo-American society that includes multiple classes (servant, labor, royalty, etc.) and the interactions between them.
A slightly older female teen (about 17 years old) has been selected to "mentor" the young Royal as he matures. Their relationship, and his developing relationships with other characters make this a great story already and I love watching it develop.
So, personally? I find the story to be fascinating and hope you will, too.
If you're into stroke stories and weird stuff, this may not be for you, but if you like extremely well-written stories with lots of character development, there are very few other authors here at SOL who could do it this well.
I highly recommend it.
