I'm a sucker for a good romance, and this isn't just a good one, it's great.
The story is about a self-titled Dragon Lady, someone who's working hard to overcome a terrible upbringing. As it proceeds, the author peels back successive layers of the onion, revealing exactly how broken the Dragon Lady is.
Her suitor seems more or less normal, but he has his own demons to deal with, as we find as we get deeper in.
The story is very much dialogue-driven, and their verbal jousting simply crackles. LOL gets overused, but there are parts of their back-and-forth where I actually did laugh out loud. Not that it's all humorous--far from it. I'm simply in awe at how deftly the author writes this.
Technically, it has a few issues; I noticed a few missing words, a couple of typos, and some punctuation problems. But none of these are fatal flaws.
All in all, I think this is one of the best stories I've read in the past few years. I highly recommend it.
