A lovely little romance with more than a touch of pleasure leavened with activities by military agents and drug syndicates.
Our hero finds himself in Moscow completing a deal for providing the gearing to go inside a food mixer when he spots a lovely young girl scavenging for food outside the restaurant he was in. He introduces himself and befriends the young lady and ends up taking her back to the USA for protection as the syndicate has already killed her parents and is now trying to take her out.
As is the rule for most of these romantic adventure tales, baddies get killed, goodies win and he ends with a harem of delightful ladies who all love each other and him.
I found it a delightful romp and really enjoyed the read. A good plot that maintained continuity with a good crisp clean ending. Good characterisation among the main characters at least. This surprised me but I didn't find any glaring errors. It doesn't happen that often and that is in itself made for very welcome reading.
If there was one thing I was looking for, and not trying to give away the plot here, was it just a misdirection message that was sent back that the stuff found wasn't any good, or was the stuff truly not viable? It just wasn't made clear.
OK, summary, a good action romance and well worth the read. Enjoy it and the other works by this author.
