Writer Mick has created an interesting situation; What happens when marriage gets too comfortable?
Deb and Mick a married couple just doing their own thing. Mick is the typical husband, doing his usual job dropping clothes anywhere, acting in his style like most husbands. On the other hand, his wife is organized in everything. Deb decided she was going out with the girls from work on Friday night. Only without her husband Mick, something smelled fishy in this situation. Mick says ok and goes out to eat by himself; after eating, he goes to catch Deb in a compromising position.
Mick is sitting in the bar on the second floor overlooking the dance floor, watching his wife. Deb turned down several opportunities to dance until this special guy approached the table. She jumped up before he even got there, dragging him onto the dance floor. Through four songs, Mick watches his wife act like she was not married to him. He then walks down to the dancing couple, tries to cut in, and calmly states, "Excuse me, but that is my wife you're kissing."
The story gets interesting from there on. How can Mick stay married after such disrespect? Was this the first time? Why was Deb doing this? So many questions in such a short story. Mick ties up all of the loose ends in this tale of infidelity. Or was it a code of almost cheating?
'I'm Going Along' by Writer Mick is an enjoyable story of married life.
