Reviewed:
This review is for the first two books of "Blood Moon Chronicles". A boy's life is turned upside down when a wolf attacks and kills his parents. He goes to live with his grandparents in a different town, going back to his original town after his grandparents die. This story has some paranormal/werewolf lore in it. If you're not a fan of that type of story, stay away.
For plot, I give the story (so far) an A (8). There are some twists and turns, but overall it seems fine.
There are some unrealistic expectations in the story which call in the need for a good editor. The technical aspects are fine, with an A (8) score overall. The main issues with the story are a few (not many) mistaken use of homophones. What the editor would address are some other things. For example, the author describes the MC as cutting down a tree that has a 6-foot diameter in one hour using an axe. Paul Bunyan is not how he was described, although he is described as a big guy. For another, the 6-foot diameter, 8-foot long log that is subsequently picked up by 3 men has to weigh at least a ton, with the average weight of a log that size approaching 5 tons. Also, the MC's girl in this story is inexperienced with men when she first has any sexual relations with him, yet manages to deep throat a male organ described as 10 inches long and as big around as his wrist without any hesitation or problem.
For appeal, although the story has some small issues, I still give it an A (8) so far. Overall, a good read. I am looking forward to part 3 being finished so that I can read the (possible) conclusion of the story.
