Reviewed:
Godless and Faithless is a story that features in a medieval world with a game system (GameLit). The two heroes of the tale discover that they passed to another world and do their best to help the locals.
I absolutely loved reading this story and I think it's one of the best of stories on SOL in the GameLit genre. (Unfortunately, there are too few of those to begin with.)
What made this story stand out to me was that the heroes didn't immediately go straight for the victory and the maximum level. In fact, the highest one of the two gets is level 3, which we would typically consider weak/ beginner level in any gaming system, but in this world it makes a lot of sense.
I also liked how they dealt with difficulties and showed real character growth. On the technical side I saw so few errors that the story is nearly perfect. The plot had a good pace and good story development.
Overall, this is an easy 10 all around. I want to read the second book in this series soon!
