A sixteen-year-old young man wakes up with a new power that affects all things living. One government agency wants him under their control, or dead. Another wants to entice and enlist him. There are struggles, deaths, and lives saved.
This is a very good story. Well worth reading. Much improved over his first story.

Shad, Shad, Shad... what did you do?
You wrote a very, very good story is what you did!
Plot: Superhero stories are always hard to write if you don't want to go the stereotypical "man gets super powers and takes over the world" route. This one succeeded in being different (in a good way). "Nathan", the "hero" of the story, is very good at being a 16 year old with a " 'tude", but initially not so hot being a "Super". That is as it should be and it adds several interesting twists to the plot, resulting in a very intriguing story line.
Technical: As is normal with any story of this length, there were a few oopsies that pressed my "your/you're" hot buttons, but nothing that impacted the readability of the story. Short of getting the fine tooth comb treatment, from a professional editor, I'd rate the technical aspects of this story well above average.
Appeal: I enjoyed this story A LOT. Well written stories, with good plots and interesting characters are hard to find in this genre. This is one of the best ones I've read. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
P.S. To all of Shaddoth's "critics" who gave him hell about why wasn't the story longer or why didn't it have a more atomic bomb-ish ending, I have to say, "Wouldn't that have been awesome?"
HOWEVER, it was the length the writer wrote it. He/she wrote it so that is the length the writer wanted it. END OF STORY! Stop your bitch'in and appreciate the great story he/she DID write.
BTW, if you want a longer one/better ending may I cordially invite YOU to write one. I'll gladly review it and I won't even ding you too hard for being a backseat "writer", mm'kay?
