Reviewed:
I'm beginning to get into this author. He has a habit of developing rather unforgettable characters with just a little space. In this one, he takes two rather despicable characters and turns them into real human beings both tragic in their own rights. I'd find it hard to believe that even the most cynical reader wouldn't leave the story without feeling even a small tug towards both of them. And he does this in a rather compact 39kB of text. It's relative brevity just adds to its charm.
Some here feel that a story with an 8.5 rating doesn't really need a review but something this good should be promoted. It just plain gobsmacked me. Just flat out bone chillingly good. That's the only way to rate this one.
Not much to say about the plot other than it's dark without being depressing. Technically good; no obvious errors. Or at least any that stayed with me. Just flat out bone chillingly good. That's the only way to classify this one.
