I have read many of JPB’s stories, and I generally find them satisfying. I say this because I have a particular disdain for cheaters and I love to see the cheater get what’s coming to them. (Personal experience, I guess.)
At any rate, I have a slightly different take on this story then did the previous reviewer. I enjoyed it, and this is mainly because I thought it was a little more offbeat from Bob’s usual fare.
The male protagonist can’t seem to find a woman will keep her knees together for anybody else besides him. He has had several heartbreaks, and his new love looks like she may break that trend. Unfortunately for him, this does not happen.
The ending does have a bit of a twist to it, and you probably won’t see it coming. I will say that the ending is indeed a little disappointing, because the cheater never really got her comeuppance. Oh well, I did enjoy the story so I guess that’s what makes it good.

This is standard 'Just Plain Bob' fare. There is the normal guy meets girl, girl cheats and she gets dumped story line.
Plot: If you've ever read any of his stories you know what's coming, but in this one it ended with much more of a whimper than a bang. The ending seem rather rushed and the plot sort of fell flat.
Technical: There were several typos and incorrect wording in this one. It didn't effect reading too much, but there were enough errors that I ended up occasionally rereading to understand what a given sentence meant.
Appeal: I normally like JPB's stories, but this one left me kind of lukewarm. Having enjoyed his stories in the past I knew what to expect, and it was delivered, just not with his normal level of writing. Not his best work, but if you like his stories it is still worth the read.
