This story hit right on my sweet spot! Aliens, romance, intrigue, idiot governments getting slapped, well designed plot.... pretty close to being designed for me to like it.
Plot: The plot of this story was VERY well thought out. It didn't have a lot of twists and turns but it progressed nicely to completion.
Technical: The biggest problems, like in many stories, were that there were a fair number of misspelled/incorrectly used words. There also were a few sentences that need work. A good editor would help, IMO.
Appeal: I liked it a lot, but didn't love it. It should have been a slam dunk because it hit my favorite areas, but I never got past the "typos". Well worth the read if you like any/all of the genres I mentioned above. I'd especially recommend this story to those who enjoy science fiction adventures, but with the caveat regarding the "Oooopsies".
