An interesting concept of the old 'young person makes good', and a 'rags to riches' story. A young man who wished to better himself and overcome the odds against him.
Well written with few grammar adjustments needed.

A farm boy is raised on a somewhat isolated world and desires more for his life. He has some luck and comes into ownership of a somewhat broken down freighter that has been doing some pirating on the side.
This story, though short, does some decent character development that allows the reader to understand and relate to not only the main character but the others in the story as well.
It is well crafted and proofed, making a good read. I believe the author would do well writing longer stories, and I especially would like to see "the further adventures of" the characters in this one.
