I am not American, however, I found that the author was entertaining and enlightening, especially with the sometimes stretched descriptions of the location and history. As he did grow up in the area, I have to accept that he does know what he is talking about.
He lost a couple of 'technical' points for some errors which slipped through all the checking, otherwise it was a very easy and good read. Congratulations.
