Sadly "Most Amazing Story" is the highest ranking, for some stories there should be something above that. Yes, this story is all that and more. Action, love, more action, and, finally, more love just about sums up this tale.
If you're looking for hot sex, there's just a bit of that. If you want something that will please your soul, then do yourself a favor and read "Nothing as Sexy as a Man in a Skirt".

This was my very first venture into the land of qhml1; it will not be my last, not by a longshot. What a wonderful short story, essentially six SOL pages.
It has all the elements that make for a good story, a bitch of an ex and hot a replacement. If it had a spaceship it would have been perfect. That said, it has bagpipes. I love bagpipes. It is a love story: some neat flashbacks, quite multi-national, multi-cultural, multi-orgasmic most likely. There is very little sex, what there is of it is well written, as is the all the other parts of the story.
There are two kinds of great short stories:
Some short stories need to be extended, beg to be extended; Orson Scott Card's, "Ender's Game," started out as a short story and is now into multiple volumes.
Some short stories end and nothing more needs to be said. "Nothing as Sexy as a Man in a Skirt Playing an Accordion," is exactly that kind of story. All it it needs is one more run through by a proofreader.
