Somewhere there is a nameless island where rests a bar called "The Shack", where NOBODY knows your name. That's because the characters are dropouts and misfits, and are only known by their nicknames. In the Shack they fit together like puzzle pieces and give birth to Todd_d172's best stories.
There are "Spooky" and "Pogo". There are "Monster" and his ex-wife, "Ex". And there are "Grease" and "Shameless".
This is a romantic story of redemption. "Grease" is slowly drinking his life away, sinking deeper into squalor and depression. "Shameless" is forced into being another man’s sex slave, punching bag, and prostitute-on-demand.
"Grease" and "Shameless" rescue one another, and go on to share a life on the aforementioned unnamed island.
If you haven’t read any of these stories, I envy you, because you have a treat coming. Try to read them in order. (As an aid, the author kindly numbers them.)
I highly recommend this series, and this story which is my favorite of the entire series.
