A guy who seems to have it all describes the events that turned him into someone who others feel is cold, unloving. The majority of the story is a flashback on the man's teen years, as he attempts to find love.
For plot, I give this an A+ (9). Some of the side characters are not fully developed, but that is why they are side characters. The author does a very nice job with the main character, exploring his thoughts and the process which turns him into who he later is.
For technical score, a C (6). The author does warn us that it is an unedited story. There were a plethora of misspelled words, incomplete words, homophonic errors and other small mistakes.
For personal appeal, another A+ (9), even with all of the mistakes. The angst felt by the MC at times is palpable. In my opinion, this is one of those stories that overcome a bad technical score to be a very, very good story. Frankly, I've read a couple of other stories by this author, and am surprised that they did not score higher.
