I am pretty sure that I will only get tired of writing glowing reviews for aroslav when he gets tired of writing stories I enjoy.
First, this is just a fun universe: interstellar, science fiction; fantasy; history; damsels in distress; heroes; bad guys; dragons; juggling; no hot running water; sex; and of course, shootouts. And duels, don't want to forget duels. And juggling. And fairy...sort of.
Hero Lincoln,is a new model of hero. He's crippled at the beginning of the story and is healed by love and hard work. I am now partially crippled by arthritis in my knees and I have a wife that offers plenty of love. Hard work? Fuck that, I'm retired.
This is a fairly short story, only 23 chapters divided into three connected tales. Essentially it is a short days read. As usual aroslav has assembled a team of editors and proofreaders that are as good as any on SOL and frankly, better than most. My professors have made it a point to point out any little lapse in grammar or G-d forbid, if I miss a comma or a period in a footnote, so I have become a bit of pedant. I prefer pedant to grammar nazi. nazi should never be capitalized, fuck spell checker.
This third and I very much hope, not last, installment of aroslav's in the Damsels in Distress Universe was a fun read.
Thanks to Lazlo Zalezac for creating the universe and so generously allowing others to join in the fun.
