If your eyes do not leak a few tears as you read this one, then your heart is made of stone.
I think we all want what this story offers – recovery from a severe life event and storybook romance with the individual that was a part of the recovery.
No, it's not perfect. The story needs at least a final proof reader to ensure all the grammar and punctuation oopses are caught, but there aren't so many that it detracts from the tale.
qhml1 is a wordsmith extraordinaire with this tale. We'll just cut to the chase, as I write this, Finding an Editor has only been available on Storiesonline for a few days, and it is already #88 of 2665 stories – with a higher score than ~97% of the rest! I expect that rating to gain some as more people read it and give it a fair score. Me? I gave it a 9 and wishing I could have put in a decimal point as I think it should be in the 9.4 area. But, given the realities of the 1-10 scoring system here on SOL, its score is lower than deserved. IMO of course.
Finding an Editor is a feel good tale of the best kind. Kinda makes ya empathize with the two main characters and (YMMV) wish you could live their fairy tale life.
It's long enough to get the whole story out and short enough to finish in a couple hours. So go ahead, even if the 'romantic' category is not your normal cup 'o tea, you'll probably enjoy the tale. Keep the tissues nearby.
