This is a straightforward romance. It's not a stroke story, so if you're looking for that, look elsewhere. The story is about a "white knight" who helps a young woman in distress; and, to quote the Julia Roberts character in "Pretty Woman", she rescues him right back.
Technically it's well-written. There are no holes in the plot, but there are a couple of typos and errors in the language; those are not big enough to get in the way of enjoying the story.
I thought the character development was good (for a short story, of course; this isn't a novel), the story engaging, and overall found it quite appealing. I recommend it.
