The Ori empire had been great. It had fallen like most empires over time. It lay in three pieces now. Kane was the largest and where the capital had been. Alexander was smaller and in what had been the middle of the empire. Sax was to the east and almost as large as Kane. When a mage took the throne of Kane and decided to raid into Alexander it was only the start as they declared themselves the new Ori empire.

Ori War by Ka Hmnd... What it is and what it is not. It is Ka Hmnd. Military violence and action, Main Character being claimed by one or more females, magic and sex. It is NOT a single cohesive story. It is a collection of eight stories that cover the main points of the Ori war.
Quick and dirty backstory, Ori empire collapses and becomes three separate kingdoms. Alexander which is the country where most of the tale is told from, Kane the antagonist and Sax which is in a supportive role. Your story begins when Kane attacks Alexander in an attempt to incorporate it and goes from there.
Eight separate short stories with eight separate main characters each providing a different view of the war. There is a good flow to how the overall story arch is presented within the individual stories. I found it to be a very good compilation. It looks like this one has been proof read as I do not recall the usual speed bumps found in Ka Hmnd's stories. There are still a few just not as many as I am used to. For those who are unfamiliar, a speed bump is anything that affects the flow of the story. Some are minor and just slow you down and others will rip out the undercarriage and throw you out of the story. Ka Hmnd has a history of homophone issues so beware. I will let you decide if they are major or minor bumps in the road as only you can judge your own tolerance to such things.
If you like Ka Hmnd's wonderful storytelling then you will no doubt enjoy this one as well. He has taken eight separate short stories and woven them into a longer tale. For myself , the storytelling is more than enough to overcome the speed bumps and take me on a ride to somewhere else.
