When is a stroke story not a stroke story?
"Carla Goes Cougar" is more like soft porn. It has way too much class to be considered a stroke story, which the author classifies it as. At least to this reviewer. I'd consider it more of an erotic story.
The story explores a woman enjoying sex for the sheer pleasure of it. The protagonist goes for a sexual encounter while overcoming the guilt that certain segments of society still try to lay on females who enjoy sex much the way that men have, i.e. as a pleasurable device. Hedonistic? Yes. Wrong? Depends on where you're coming from. And that is what the story leaves you with.
I consider this offering horribly underrated at 6.32 (as of the writing). And I bemoan the brevity of the offering (at 20k).
The writing is good. Spelling, punctuation, diction --- all top rate. The author is a good wordsmith. As an erotic offering at SOL, it stands out for me.
