Full of surprises, with an unusual stream-of-consciousness writing style that works well. The plot isn't complex, but that works with the stream-of-consciousness style.
As a new reviewer, I hope I can distinguish between something well done in a story even if it's not to my personal taste. That does seem to work here. My first attraction isn't to the Rubenesque sort of woman, but the male protagonist certainly does appreciate that, and, in spite of the woman's insecurities, makes it pleasant for both.
