First-rate. Realistic enough that I winced and clutched my foot when one of the Bad Guys had his toe broken -- I remember that happening to me.
Not all that much sex, and the sex was loving.
There were some military details, and I do mean details, where I suspended disbelief. I'm not sure that I ever quite worked out the relationships among the Bad Guys, or how the protagonist was able to bring in active-duty SOF. It's also unclear who blew up the bad guys in Mexico. These are reasons I didn't give a 10 on plot or technical quality.
The pure writing is superb.
