Arlene and Jeff by RoustWriter One word to describe what Roustwriter is doing with this story -- WOW!!
Dance of a Lifetime by Don Lockwood Frank is one of my favourite authors on SOL. DoaL is typical of his works, with a sweetness quotient that may reqire massive Insulin intervention. DoaL is, IMHO quite probably his 'magnum opus'. I highly recommend reading anything by Frank, but this one should almost be required reading.
Greenies by Al Steiner Al Steiner --- Greenies is just the flagship of his Martian stories. Read them all. What else can I say? Top notch SF. Well developed plots and characters. Page turners. Need I say more?
Jack and Jill by Old Fart Again, it's the flagship of a series that I'm featuring, but I actually recommend the whole J&J series. Old Fart was one of my initial inspirations to write. He, among others, reviewed my early stuff and then actively encouraged me to continue. You'll like almost all his stuff, including the 'Cousin Linda' series.
John Carter by Lazlo Zalezac John Carter, Ed Biggers, Happy Harry, Oscar Meyers, William Redman Carter -- They're all titles of stories in the series, but they're also characters -- bigger than life, feel-good characters. Laz Zelazac ranks right up there, and again, I'm forced to just list the first story in a series that as a unit is one of my all-time faves. -- as is Laz himself. More required reading for the denizens of SOL.
Sea King by colt45 Although I don't usually go for the slavery thing, Colt45 drew me in with his consumate story telling. And yet again, I'm listing the first in a series to actually mark the series as my fave. Swashbuckling, romance, good sex, plot, characters. They have it all. Highly recommended.
The Trailer Park by Wizard You can't list Hoisington's 'Wynter' series without also including Wizard's 'Trailer Park' stories. Delightful reading and great music.
Vacation? by Dual Writer Again, I selected a single story, the introduction to the whole 'Florida Friends' Series but actually recommend an entire series. Dual Writer has created some truly memorable characters. Steve with the Midas Touch, Chuck with his uncanny situational awareness as a LEO, and OF COURSE, all those wonderful, sensual, loving women. READ IT.
Wynter by Russell Hoisington Wynter is 'Future Doctor Wynter'. With the whole Wynter series, Hoisington just does it. Despite their apparent maturity, he still manages to get into the heads of his youthful heroes and heroines. The whole Wynter series is a delightful, youthful trip.
I just learned recently that Russ passed away this past winter.I read that someone he trusted will finish the 'Wynter' series. I hope they do. THAT would be the most fitting epitaph he could receive. My condolences to his family, friends and devoted fans. We lost one of the best.
