Australian Story by Oz Ozzie How does a self centered young teen in modern day Australia grow to become a caring, responsible adult? Care for someone else! Chris, Shahia, Lisa, and their other friends all perform well above the call of duty when they are threatened. If you are anything like me, you won't be able to put it down so start reading this on a friday night and maybe you'll be finished by the end of the weekend. Also try "The Dragon's Backbone," another well done story by this author in a completely different setting.
Banner Year by Shrink42 Anything by this author is worth reading, try Redemption or The Last Straw too. Banner Year just grabs me by the gut and holds on. Being a romantic at heart I have my hopes for where this story takes it's main characters but we won't know until the end. Cheryl's sacrifices for her dreams and goals make me want to cry.
The Competitive Edge: Playing The Game III by Rev. Cotton Mather The whole playing the game series is a masterpiece as a coming of age story and a love story. You really have to start at the beginning with "Playing the Game" but I put this one, the conclusion, down as the favorite because of the way the author tortured the readers and the main character as the story neared it's conclusion. This three part series is as much a must read as "Dance of a Lifetime."
Dance of a Lifetime by Don Lockwood You can't beat Don Lockwood's storytelling. Here we have a love story built around two young heros from very different backgrounds who both love skating and each other. We follow them through triumph and pain, through love and conflict, through their growing-up years. One of the best around.
Jack and Jill by Old Fart A great story of growing up and young love. Every chapter seems to have another "Ahhhh" moment for me.
Reprise by eviltwin David, Carol and Rieke fall in love at a young age but life is not easy for them and they are separated for many years before coming together again. Hot love scenes, tragidy that will make you cry, lots of ahhh moments. You won't be able to put it down.
Song of Thanks by Grampy Wow, even though the author has revealed the end right at the start, you can't wait to read the next chapter. Courtney, Darryl, and their friends have lives full of adventure, love, and pain. You have to keep reading to find out how it all works out.
