Utter rubbish.
It's a story site with stories for adults.
It has never been promoted as a site for just underage sex stories.
Maybe you just need to change your account settings.
On the home page click My Account and scroll to the Preferences section to see Access Level. It willl either be Filtered or Full Access. Filtered hides stories under the age limit, Full Access allows you to see them.
I just had a quick look at Oyster50's stories and they seem to all be there and readable though many include sex with characters under 18.
Yes and the contract was changed under my nose right at the beginning of the pay period. This is theft now.

Would you prefer if the site had simply disappeared? Because that was the alternative Lazeez was facing.

Refunded. Now go away.
Now go away.
I wholeheartedly agree with you.
The environment in which SOL operates has changed and you had to change the rules we had to follow. This is a business, and all businesses change their rules of operation when required to do so. Evidently that idiot lives in a fantasy world. We don't need people like that on the site.

Yes, and his view of what SOL was advertising itself to be before the recent change borders on being delusional.

Bordering?

Exactly. And First Amendment claims in the US nearly always fail against private institutions because the First Amendment prohibits government action, not private action.
Hosting providers and payment processors have the world by the short hairs, and they have to answer to shareholders (and governments).
I'll leave it at that to avoid going overtly political.
Now go away.
Anyone else read that as, "Now go away now..." complete with voice? Just me? Okay... (Slinks back into the shadows...)
@734243k wouldn't happen to be based in Germany, would they?
Anyway, what's the name of this problematic German organisation, so I can boycott it?
OK everybody, hold on tight. More changes to policy are coming but in a good way.
I'm in talks with the hosting company's legal department and I have a better plan that a purge.
It involves refinement to what is allowed. There wouldn't be a total ban on under 18.
Please be patient. Things are looking up.
As of today, I've actually received 10s of refund requests from assholes who subscribed since saturday to be able to download a bunch and once done, they're asking for refund.
Despicable humans.

Yep.
Paid for service, got service, now want refund.
Probably the very same people that make use of no questions asked refund policies on their orders.
Order it, use it for a while, return it for a refund.
Probably the very same people that
Go to a restaurant, order, eat the food, then complain that something was wrong with either the food or service to try and get the meal comped.
When my daughter was in high school, she worked at Penny's department store. One day, a couple with a child of about two years old, wheeled in what appeared to be a well-used baby carriage. They asked for a refund and got it.
Stores with no questions refund policies, should have a reasonable time limit on returns.
Just bought a membership to make up for some of those morally challenged persons. Support SOL!
PS: I've already been a premier member for ~20 years, but only through my story contributions. Time to change that.
I admit that when I was really poor, I would get a 1 month subscription and DL a bunch of stories but I would never even think of asking for a refund. Being unable to work for a number of years now SOL and Finestories has been a godsend for me.
who subscribed since saturday to be able to download a bunch and once done, they're asking for refund.
Don't give them the refund. There's no legitimate reason for it.
I wish I could deny refunds. But that only leads to charge-backs and that would cost $32 per charge back out of my pocket.
I don't suppose it would help much, but you could keep a blacklist and ban those responsible from ever returning.
AJ
Wait a minute!
Are you telling me, I CAN'T walk into an All You Can Eat buffet, stuff my bags with food, and then demand a refund because, technically, I didn't eat anything!?
The world is going NUTS!!!1!!11!!one!!
It's where SOL becomes SOOL: shit out of luck, unless the webmaster is feeling very, very generous. Just look up force majeure and don't be a Richard about it. The man is working around the clock to keep the site going.
the site should die now lol worthless
You've been given your refund, why are you still here?
the site should die now lol worthless
If the site is so "worthless", then please leave and don't come back. Those of us who still value it for the service it provides can go on appreciating it in peace from your pathetic, self-serving bullshit.
On a separate note, it says an awful lot about you if you genuinely think that the removal of stories involving graphic sex between under-18s makes this site worthless. And trust me, what it says about you is not good.
The phrase "check his hard drive" has never seemed more appropriate.
He was responding to my post two days ago. Since Lazeez resolved the situation I deleted my post, and now the twit with the pubic hair phobia landed down in the list with his hateful reply.
He is hopefully gone. ๐
