A Well-Traveled Man

Joy_Bee ๐Ÿšซ

Do you think he's paid by 60 Minutes for Product Placement??

:-)

ystokes ๐Ÿšซ

@Joy_Bee

No, it's how many daily details he can repeat.

thats a common thing on here. even more common for AI generated crap.

Wonder if its Tefler come back with a new name

@Cheshire_Writer

I thought AI could keep first and third person straight. I know the repeating of crap is an easy way to fill space, but this is too much.
Not familiar with "Tefler", long ago?

@ducky7

He has been writing "Three Square Meals" for about 9 years and has accumulated about 4 million words of repeated drek.

I know his stories are VERY similar but I find them enjoyable nonetheless. However I wish he'd stick to either first or third person narrative instead of randomly switching between them.

Exactly! That was the standout thing I noticed in the latest instalment. Some of the details and plot points are starting to repeat in the many similar stories too.

Rodeodoc ๐Ÿšซ

@awnlee jawking

I just finished his first 2 chapters and was overcome with a sense of โ€ฆ meh. The tense switching made it difficult to read. Yet it's pulling a score in the mid 7's. Even the story line doesn't rate that, but different strokes and all that. At least the MC isn't having sex with his mother and grandmother. Yet.

moondog_199 ๐Ÿšซ

@Joy_Bee

And many are "best sellers" on ZBSโ€ฆ.

What denotes a best seller 3 books sold?
What is ZB's criteria for that?

That's almost as many as some of the New York Times bestsellers ;-)

IIRC the New York Times list is technically based on orders from bookstores and distributors. Therefore a "bestseller" could, in reality, have never been bought by a real customer, instead being all preorders.

Don't forget the books written by politicians that have most of their books bought by their own party committees to be given away to those who donate.

instead being all preorders.

That is buying the book before it is pubilshed, and delivering it after it is published.

flightorfight ๐Ÿšซ

@Joy_Bee

At least he writes something that most people can appreciate. Most new stories on here nowadays are just a collection of a perverts wet dreams. Incest, BDSM, Snuff, Rape and Torture

My main issue is how 1/3 to 1/2 of the story is copying and pasting the same scenes over and over.

I agree. But if you can overlook that, the plotline is often decent, if you can work your way through his grammar.

Replies:   ducky7

All of the stories are the same plotline minor twist to names and locations.
None of the stories are finished.

Well in their defense a song chorus is the part of the song that is repeated.

but yes I agree with you as to the number of songs that sound like a scratched record and they think it is music.

True, but you don't need to spend over half the song repeating it.

I stopped listening to new music when grunge came around. I am not ashamed to say I like the old hair metal bands along with the music from the 70's and 80's. I stopped listening to over the air radio and only listen to streaming radio. I do like a lot of new country too.

I always laugh when I think no matter how bad a song is, there are those in the recording studio thinking of all the millions they are going to make.

jimq2 ๐Ÿšซ

@ystokes

There is almost nothing since the mid 80's that I would listen to. I enjoy most music from the 70's, a little from the 80's, and almost anything form the 60's back. And that includes most classical composers.

Brandi Carlile is a great contemporary songwriter and performer. Her song "That Wasn't Me" says a lot to anyone whose life journey has been like mine.
