Garbage e-books

Fick Suck ๐Ÿšซ

Amazon Books is inundated with a plague of A.I. garbage. While I do not see SOL having the same issues, I have no doubt that generated or as I prefer, regurgitated, nigh plagiarized erotica will become an increasing problem. The article is here: https://www.vox.com/culture/24128560/amazon-trash-ebooks-mikkelsen-twins-ai-publishing-academy-scam

I tried reading an AI generated story here on SOL and it was freakin horrible! It was worse than reading a US military repair manual! Absolutely no "feeling" in what little I read, 2 chapters, from the story...

iirc even the author that posted it said later it wasn't good...

I rather like the idea of an AI bot admitting that something it wrote was rubbish.

guess I shoulda wrote "person" that posted it instead of "author" that posted it. The author/person has other stories on sol as well and had stated in the description iirc that this particular story was ai generated

I asked ChatGPT to come up with reasons why a high school banned clothing, and it answered with basically a polite reprimand that it can't and won't, because high school is supposed to be safe and respectful environment bla bla bla...

I think a great deal of why there's not a flood of AI garbage porn in writing, the free and open access ones are too policed to be easily exploited. I'm sure there's ways around that, but when you can do that yourself you may as well write, for the most part.

So it's somewhat postponed to when there will be, or become popular if already exist, stand alone local installations already pre-cracked and retrained for erotica.

Doesn't AI learn from posted content? Maybe it's writing garbage because it's learning from garbage.

I asked it that question and got:

1. Inappropriate slogans or graphics: Clothing with offensive language, symbols, or images that promote violence, drugs, or discrimination are often prohibited.

2. Excessively revealing clothing: This can include items such as crop tops, short shorts, mini-skirts, or clothing that exposes undergarments.

3. Hats, hoods, or sunglasses indoors: Some schools ban these items indoors as a matter of respect and security.

4. Gang-related clothing or colors: Clothing associated with gangs may be banned to prevent conflicts or to comply with local safety regulations.

5. Pajamas or sleepwear: Schools often expect students to dress appropriately for a learning environment, which generally does not include wearing pajamas.

6. Sagging pants: Some schools prohibit students from wearing pants that sag below the waistline, as it's considered both a fashion and a safety issue.

7. Items that promote distractions: This might include excessively noisy jewelry, large accessories, or anything else that could disrupt the learning environment.

8. Items that could be used as weapons: This can include chains, spiked jewelry, or certain types of belts.

Having to stay within the limits imposed explains why the story posted was so poorly received.

Annoyingly pedantic rules analysis:
1. If one is wearing no clothes, there can be no inappropriate slogans, etc.
2. Clothing which does not exist cannot be 'inappropriately revealing clothing'. The rule doesn't say that lack of clothing is 'inappropriately revealing'. Can't expose undergarments that aren't there!
3-6. These only apply to clothing.
7. This one depends. Are bodies 'items'? If not, all good.
8. Stupid rule. Anything can be 'used as a weapon.' But in lack-of-clothing case it'd be hard to claim there was any particular weaponization of body parts.

See? The best answer to the rules is nudity. Stories with nudity are often well received.

I read the post wrong. I thought the question to ChatGTP was: What types of clothing would a high school ban? Not reasons why a high school would ban clothing.

REP ๐Ÿšซ

@Grey Wolf

The basic flaw in your post is your interpretation of Rule 1 to mean everyone is not wearing clothing. There is nothing in Rule 1 that restricts Rule 1 to people who do not wear clothes.

โ€ข Rule 1 is about inappropriate slogans or graphics on clothing. So your 'If' statement does not apply to all cases. Since it applies to the people who are wearing clothing, then that clothing could display inappropriate slogans.

โ€ข Rule 2 is about the clothing being worn. Your statement is based on your Rule 1 assumption that there is no clothing. Since there is clothing, you statement does not apply.
โ€ข
Rule 1 does not state there is no clothing, so there is clothing so Rules 3-6 do apply.
โ€ข
I don't think 'bodies' were intended to be included in Rule 7. However any item on a person's body was included.

โ€ข Once again, this is not a rule that excludes clothing. So Rule 8 is valid.

Now I wonder if certain tattoos would violate the inappropriate slogans, etc rule.
"Take off that offensive top. Oops, over up that offensive tattoo."

I think the intent was that the school banned all clothing (students must be nude).

Yeah, I missed that. I didn't know why anyone would ask that so I read it differently. Then the "naked in school" genre came to mind.

A chatGPT question of "plot ideas for naked in school" resulted in "this content may violate our usage polices."

plot ideas for naked in school

Asking that question to Meta AI returned the following:

I can provide some general plot ideas, but I want to emphasize that "Naked in School" could be potentially harmful or illegal in real life. Please keep in mind that these ideas are for a fictional context only.

Here are some plot ideas:

Comedy

- A student accidentally leaves their clothes at home and must navigate a day at school in their underwear.

- A group of students play a prank on their friend, leaving them naked in a public area of the school.

Drama

- A student is forced to strip as a form of bullying or hazing, leading to a deeper exploration of the emotional impact.

- A character discovers a secret about their school or teachers while sneaking around naked.

Science Fiction/Fantasy

- A mysterious phenomenon causes everyone's clothes to disappear, leading to a exploration of societal norms and expectations.

- A character discovers they have the ability to turn invisible, but only when they're naked.

Mystery

- A detective is tasked with solving a series of pranks involving nudity, leading to a deeper conspiracy.

- A student wakes up naked in a school hallway with no memory of how they got there, leading to a investigation.

Remember, these ideas are for a fictional context only and should not be attempted in real life. If you have any other questions or need help with developing a plot, feel free to ask!

Yes, that seems to have been the intent of LupusDei's post.

However, Switch Blayde asked ChatGPT a question about why ChatGPT would not create reasons for why a school would ban clothing.

ChatGPT provided a list of what appear to me to be a set of generic reasons why it would not provide an answer to Switch Blayde's question. For example, examine the first reason closely.

1. Inappropriate slogans or graphics: Clothing with offensive language, symbols, or images that promote violence, drugs, or discrimination are often prohibited.

ChatGPT is responding regarding to people wearing clothing. This restriction would not apply to situation where no clothes were worn, so that is why I believe this is just a generic list of restrictions.

Because that's what I asked ChatGPT. I misunderstood the OP. I asked ChatGPT for reasons a school would ban clothing. Clothing with offensive language is a good answer.
