One for the records?

John Demille ๐Ÿšซ

An old, old, old story has been finally concluded after more than Thirteen Years. So much for removing inactive stories...

Damn! After that long, I think we should all send him a congratulatory response. It's nice to finally wrap up unfinished products.

I agree. Two chapters and 39K is not a large story, but he should be applauded for completing the story, rather than letting it be given that 'yellow' incomplete message.

I think it was Cmsix that once said in his blog, "If you want me to finish the damned story, I'll just kill off the lead character and call it the end." I always think of that when people complain about unfinished stories. No one wants the protagonist to die, but it sure would be a quick end to every unfinished story!

But that story would have been pointless with such an ending as they haven't got into any action. The first chapter ended when they had an accident. Not much of a story yet.

It's one thing to kill off a character if it furthers a story plot (even though it's generally unpopular, unless you're dealing with a hated villain), but it's another entirely to kill off a character if it negates the entire purpose of the story, or serves no purpose whatsoever.

A more satisfying quick end to a story you're being harassed to end is to have the bad guy win, killing off the hero and ending the story with the villain gloating over his corpse. Talk about getting even with your detractors: taken from the Donald Trump school of literature. :-D (Please! No one suggest this to Gina Wylie.)

Ha-ha! If she did, we'd all be permanently banned from her site for various political slights. :-D

I want some more Spitfire and Messerschmitt!

(Sorry Ernest, I assume you're joking so my appeal is to a null audience)

Another long-dormant story resumed.

The Horsemen by Ian Alexander is being resumed after being inactive for seven whole years.
