I wrote a very long blog entry about this story but it took long enough that the system timed me out. When I pushed "save and publish" I got a message that said "Invalid entry. Please try again."
I'm not going to write the whole thing again. I'll summarize.
New story called Counseling Muriel about an emotionally crippled female whose husband sends her to counseling.
Her counseling takes a long time and the time line may not be as tight as it should be but I wanted to concentrate on her and not the background stuff.
The average reader might think it took waaay too long for her counseling to be finished or for her husband to be patient enough to wait. I get it. My degree in college included counseling and I know the average person doesn't go to counseling for a year to deal with one issue. Therapy yes, counseling no. The intent of the people involved wouldn't mesh with endless therapy.
It's really slow and if you read my stuff for the sex, you're going to have to wait right along with her as her world view changes.
