Nuts.
Oh well, I kinda tried.
What am I talking about, you might be asking? Well, the Halloween contest, of course. I didn't place in the top three, and my congratulations go out to those three writers and their stories. They are way better than mine. But I digress, for there is a light at the end of the tunnel and this time, it ain't no train.
This idea came about as a bit of a fever dream, and I went with it. Luckily, I still had a bit of a fever when I finished it. I now know a way to continue down this path, and it differs from the original idea I had for lighting the firecracker.
Oh, wait a second, I might have to explain myself a bit here. I submitted an entry in this year's Halloween writing contest. I've done it before, and I'll probably try it again, but I admit I'm not really a Halloween kind of person. So I do it to take myself out of my comfort zone for a bit.
I submitted "A Hollywood Secret."
I'm openly asking my score of fans to go ahead and read it for yourselves, and I'd love to hear what you guys think of it. Let's see if maybe some of you can find yourselves thinking the story can grow the same way I think it can.
