Hello all.
Thanks to those of you who have written to let me know what they thought of the latest chapter of Mayhem in a Pill. I hate that it took so long, so I tried to make it a bit longer and overshot my wad by about eight or nine pages.
But in the midst of my celebrating and continuing the ever-evolving search for MILF porn, I discovered something on the interwebs I did not know was there. I found a video of the only football state championship won by my high school alma mater.
No, I wasn't on that team. That would be a perfect thing to have happen, wouldn't it?
No, I had already gradumated and was enjoying my time in college. But my little sister did let me know it was happening, and I remembered watching it on the TV in the dorm rec area. Luckily, no one begged to change the channel, which was always something worthy of a good argument. I remember several other guys who fluttered in to enjoy the end of the game. It was a good game with the good guys running an old school option running attack and beating one of the first pass-heavy high school teams in Texas football. The run and shoot offense was becoming all the rage in college ball, but there weren't many high schools yet running that offense. The following year changed that, and eventually, the pass-heavy variants were aplenty, and the run-heavy option went the way of the Dodo.
Needless to say, I just finished watching the game again, and it got the old writer's juices flowing again. I just turned off the LibreOffice Writer app after it started sweating profusely. (Not actually, but I killed it on new pages for the next chapter.) Well, it's a great starting point for the next chapter.
So, in the end, I just wanted to thank those of you who have written and those who haven't yet written for at least reading the latest chapter, and I hope to continue this story as long as it's necessary. For those who are worried, it doesn't mean every season will be as long as this. (I mean, I love football and writing football games, but damn, that's a lot of football!) I'm totally open to the idea of breaking up the next years of Mayhem's high school years into separate books, in fact, that is probably preferable, since the end product of these sessions of writer's blocks are turning into new stories I want to tell. Now that I have more of a handle on how to write them.
Thanks, and for those who didn't know, the new chapter was posted due to the plethora of good stories recently posted, which pushed it down the list of recently updated stories so quickly... It's there! Read it!
