Lemme just go ahead and offer everyone a Happy Thanksgiving this week. I realize SOL is available worldwide and not everyone celebrates this particular holiday. But I can fairly say with confidence that everyone enjoys the idea of a nice holiday. Just for the idea of a day off from the monotony.
And now for the apology.
I am nowhere near ready with the next chapter of Mayhem in a Pill. I have not had much time to even think about it and what little time I did have to work on Mayhem during this last month or so, I spent on my other story "A New Quiver for Cupid." It was written for the Halloween 2020 story contest and though it did not place, I still like it. Of course, the more I look at it, the more I see where it could be improved. I feel I will probably do that sometime in the future. I have already plotted an outline of what I want to improve and add to the story. I'll definitely leave the current version alone and most likely just go ahead and repost a new version with an obligatory 2.0 at the end.
But that is a ways off. I have not given up on Mayhem and I will go until I can't continue. I can see taking the story much farther than where it is now. The likelihood of a couple of other books is a strong possibility. Hell, considering the amount of feedback from other readers wondering where they can purchase the entire story is enough of an incentive for me to go through a re-edit from the start, separate the two storylines and delineate for separate books. (I gotta get paid, amirite?)
Okay. So no new chapter for Mayhem until after this holiday week for sure. More than likely the second week of December for the next updated chapter of Mayhem. But then the chance of the following chapter soon after is very real.
So, just wanted to let y'all know.
