My day job is running a real estate company. People still need a place to live, so we never slowed down.
Where I gained time was through my other hobby, not writing, is playing poker. For some reason, the state decided that poker rooms had to be shut down. I guess I can see their point because who plays tournaments during the day? Old guys like me and college kids. What could go wrong with that mix?
My editors assure me that we will have chapters for the final book in the Stupid Boy Series to post on SOL the last weekend in May (I was told that not all of you keep track of holidays in the US - Memorial Day weekend).
I was worried we might not make it because one of my key editors contracted Covi19. He assures us he is feeling much better and is starting to send us his edits. He's key because he catches what the rest of my team miss. It just goes to show you that you shouldn't edit your own work.
There are enough chapters in the last book to get us through the year once we start posting. So you will get your weekly fix of David and company into January.
The first book in the next series, A Better Man - that covers the college years, has gone faster than anticipated. I might be done with it by mid-summer. The problem is I can't start posting it on SOL until David's high school years are up.
If I can't play poker this summer we might end up with a couple of books stacked and waiting in the cue to post on SOL. For me, that's a good problem because I might get a chance to write something different while we wait to catch up.
Stay safe.
