Let me thank you who have voted. I've responded individually to those who sent me email.
Because I'm retired, I can look at your votes more frequently than once or twice each day.
Why is that important? The most important reason is that I get a better idea of what you like. I don't work from an outline - my characters pretty much tell their tales. BUT the voting does tell me something about positioning, phrasing, and pace. From that I can try to make my stories more appealing. For these reasons, voting is very important to me.
Today, for example, two readers changed their votes from six to a higher score. That shows that at least some of you value the action. On the other hand, the overall story rating has dropped. That doesn't bother me - I have a pretty good idea why.
So folks - feedback is appreciated in any form, by me and other authors. You benefit as well as we do, so please take the time to click that button at the end of the chapter or story.
Much thanks.
