One more to go, I think. I really like these characters. There is a lot of me in Tim, and Missy was inspired by the character of the same name on "Young Sheldon".
I probably should have waited to post the first two chapters until this one was ready, but I didn't know it would flow out so easily. Sometimes, writing a story is like pushing a big rock uphill, and sometimes it's all downhill. That's how this one was once I got started.
Sidebar - as I was keying this in, Grammery jumped in and wanted to change the whole thing. I told Grammery to go fuck itself.
This one has been in my head for a few years now. I wrote the first two chapters (just posted) in longhand while I didn't have internet access. I got those pages out a few days ago, polished them up a bit, and here they are. Ch. 3 is already coming along.
Any comments, criticisms, etc., positive or negative, are welcome.
2024 was a big year for me. I regained internet access for the first time in over a decade (long story), and one of the first things I did was ask the nice folks here if they would resurrect my former user name. They said okay, of course, because that's how they roll, and I began writing and posting again.
My only resolution for the new year is to keep on writing. I'm currently working on three stories at the same time, which is like juggling three raw eggs - it often ends up in a mess, but I can't quit.
Psst, I have a secret that I will reveal in a few days.
