Taking a hint on realty across the globe, there are a few things that make money. Food, crime and politics to name a few. The story has turned to Food, Services like Amazon and Gaming. There are others but even when dealing with Multi-Billions growing things is not easy, there a risks involved. Getting a divorce, changes in the economy and new business principles can deplete everything you have. Some examples might be Enron Oil, MCI Communications, Honeywell, the investor in Brazil who lost $6.5 Billion in a few days, The Hunt Brothers etc. If you are not making profits, you need to change things to protect what you already have.
