Avoiding the Friday blahs

Since I have a feeling I'm going to be working late tonight, which means I won't want to get out of bed tomorrow morning even when my alarm goes off to go to work, I've uploaded Chapter 32 into the queue for posting tomorrow morning, so at least everyone ELSE has something to look forward to, tomorrow.

Oh, and absolutely NOBODY (not Mister NoBody from Doom Patrol, which I've seen three episodes of so far), in emails or comments, figured Toby out. And since it's appropriate because of the date in the story ... trick or treat!

Saturday morning queue - Book Two

Just uploaded chapter 31. It will show up in the submission queue tomorrow morning (well, that's when it's supposed to do that). I have turned comments on from the get-go. I will turn voting on after a couple of chapters. I'm posting in .html now, instead of plain text. If there are issues, I want a couple of weeks to figure those out.

There is NO synopsis of what happened previously - Chapter 31 starts off right where Chapter 30 stopped. If you haven't read Book One ... go do that first.

Trying something different

Just in case anyone is re-reading A True History, I'm uploading a chapter that I'm trying HTML code instead of plain text. If it works, great! If not ... no harm, no foul.

Indiana Basketball

While I was writing the chapter about the state championship football game, I was reminded of Indiana basketball. The movie, 'Hoosiers', was based upon a real school and real team. And was also the reason that it took Indiana a LONG time to switch to the class (school size) system for basketball. I remember being a senior, and it got to sectional time. We had a good team, when you consider that we had less than 300 students in the entire high school. We won our sectional, because it was also against small, rural schools. Then we went to the regional and were demolished quickly and without strain. Their SHORTEST guy was taller than our TALLEST player.

From a writing standpoint, I'm honestly not that much further along from where I was last Friday, but that should change because my elbow and wrist finally aren't hurting me enough that I need to take Norco. And since I react to Norco a little odd, I also have to take Benadryl when I do so. (That's the polite way of saying I've been sleeping 14 hours a day.) I have gotten the first ten chapters to Jim, and most of them back, so I'm ready to go on the 1st, and I've been working through his edits of Book One, so it can be re-posted once that's done. (Editing is not as strenuous as creatively writing - or in training Dragon 15 that I did NOT say clip or posies! 'I licked her clip when the others spread their posies, waiting for my caulk.' doesn't quite work.)
