It has been over a year since my wife of 38 years passed. The kids and I had a little ceremony on her birthday. We spread her ashes in a little clearing that I had prepared by cleaning it up and mounting a sign on a tree trunk. "JOJO's GROVE" has a little white picket fence and can be seen as you drive to the house.
I can't seem to write for some reason. Every time I try the words are garbage. I will keep trying, I enjoyed writing and especially the comments from readers. Maybe I will be able to post again, but I have no guarantee of it.
Well I finally finished a story. One of the writers I edit for kept pushing me to get back to writing, thanks Wayne.
I had this story basically done, but couldn't decide on an ending. It took about an hour to find one.
The Backcourt Blues is like a do-over for me. I was a flight medic in Germany during Vietnam. Had I been one class earlier or later at Ft. Sam, I would have gone into combat. Mark Reynolds is the guy I might have been then. There will be more stories in the series following other turning points in my life.
Trading Friends got a very nice review. I thank the reviewer, but I hate disappoint him. I have no plans to continue the story, I have a possible of side trip with Bob and Pam, but it is on the back burner.
Right now I am working on 3 separate projects. I work on one until I get stumped, then move to another, and so on. I am in the second chapter on two items and the third in another. As soon as one is finished I will post it, I promise.
I posted a new story today and I hope you like it. I have been having trouble finishing the many story ideas I have in progress. This one is short, but I finally decided that there was no need to prolong it. Now that I have one done, maybe I can finally finish others.
I don't have anything for posting on the holiday theme, it just doesn't seem to be that inspiring to me.
I did a complete rewrite on the whole Backcourt Blues, putting it all into a single 4 chapter story. I'm going to remove the 3 listed right now and post the new one as soon as Lazeez lets me. The next in the series is about halfway done and should be ready before long.
As always I have a lot of things in process waiting for the inspiration to finish them.
