Still alive

Posted at

Dear readers,
Sorry for the lack of updates, but Life has me pretty pinned these days. Writing time has been minimal for the last year in particular. Only in the last month have I been able to write again with any significant output. Four Seasons slowly marches towards a complete first draft. But the “book”, if something of this length can even be called that, needs a lot more writing yet. The most optimistic timeline suggests seeing some sort of tunnel ending light in late 2024. Kind of crazy, but that’s my best case estimate, which never happens, so reality will probably be 2025. Frustrating for me, and probably those of you hoping to read it. Anyway, as always I carry on and I appreciate the occasional messages about my posted stories, and the inquiries as to sequels. I’m working on it as best I can!

Cheers

Autumn progress update

Dear readers,
Hit a rough spot in 2021 with some Real Life(TM) stuff, and had to take a long hiatus. My hopes of getting close to finishing Four Seasons around year's end won't pan out. But, I'm back to writing now, and steady progress again. It's a huge book; well, more like 4 books intertwined into one... Here's to 2022, then!

Casual progress update

Hello Readers,

Steady progress continues with Four Seasons, the next book set at the Wexford Conservatory. Work demands and the covid situation have made finding time to write a challenge this past year, but I am more than halfway finished with the book now. Only halfway, because it is a massive beast. Still, if things go well, it could be ready for release later this year... we'll see! I hope y'all are doing well, and I look forward to sharing the new tale with you.

Cheers

Revising Opus One

Dear readers,

In the process of writing the next book in the Wexford Conservatory world, I am also revising Opus One. Mostly I am cleaning up some minor stylistic issues, typos and such. However, there are a few scenes that I always thought needed a bit of rewriting for clarity. At any rate, if you've read the story and feel like you have a specific critique that would improve the writing, please feel free to get in touch. Now's our chance! And I'd appreciate it.

The new Wexford book (Four Seasons) continues to come along. There is still much writing to be done, so nothing will be ready to read for quite a while yet. However, the draft has now become longer than Opus One, so there's that quiet milestone at least. Onward...

Cheers

Horizon Lines: now with Vocals!

Posted at Updated:

Dear readers,

Those of you who have read Shutter Release may remember listening to an instrumental version of a song in the story. A number of you wished that the vocals had also been recorded, and happily, now they have! The link in Ch34 has been updated, if you want to have a listen.

In other news, work and Covid19-related activities slowed me down right after my last post in March, but now progress has resumed on the new story set at Wexford, called Four Seasons. The first season (Summer) is completed.

I hope you all are well.

Cheers
