We've reached the end of the book

Posted at Updated:

We reached the end of 'An Audience With Carstairs'. Only took us two months!

And then there's And The Winner Is, at 300.000 words... Just imagine how long it will take to get to the end of THAT one, at one chapter a week. Gee, I wonder what that book is about...

Once the dust has settled after the bizarre events in part two, 'An Audience With Carstairs', Martin is looking forward to a quiet life with the women he loves. (Yes, plural.) He even has a brilliant plan to launch a new company, using his skills in cryptography and his business acumen.

Life gets in the way, though, as his girls are called away to different corners of the planet. Martin is in no mood to make a choice between them. As Hollywood beckons, and Kelly needs her friend Carstairs again, the pressure gets to be too much for him; he resorts to drugs.

Samantha and Susan step in to help, so Martin can be there for Kelly whilst trying his luck in America. There he is met by Caroline Keller, the forbidding mastermind behind Kate's agency, Keller & Fox. After a few exhilarating days together they form an unlikely friendship. But is that really possible with a woman like Caroline? She is, after all, used to getting whatever she wants.

Join Martin as he reaches new heights, makes new friends, becomes the Angel of Staten Island, gives America a new national anthem and clowns around in L.A.'s storm drains, in Ron Dudderie's erotic comedy action novel: 'And The Winner Is.'

Enjoying the ride so far?

Posted at Updated:

As chapters 5 and 6 are relatively short, I submitted them together. I don't really take these things into account as I write the book. Both chapters individually are in the order of 5 full pages of A4, mind you. It's just that this website generates rather long pages. Which is fine, but it gives the impression I'm fobbing you off with just a few paragraphs.

So, how are you getting on? I appreciate it will have been a while since you read Best Sister Ever so maybe these are relatively difficult chapters, what with all the references to the first book. Trust me, this is only the uphill section of the roller coaster. Just enjoy the ride. Any moment now we'll pass that yellow flag at the top and then...

Thanks for your emails

Quite a few people have emailed me to let me know how much they appreciate that the sequel to Best Sister Ever has come to StoriesOnline. Well, of course it has! I've found the readership here to be far more pleasant and civilized than... other sites I could mention.

I understand that not everyone can show their appreciation by buying the book. You are very welcome to follow along chapter by chapter, but do remember I ask for the book to be deleted after about a month. It has become a rather serious enterprise (a book takes 4-5 months to write, on average) to churn them out.

When An Audience With Carstairs is done, I'll be publishing the final part of the trilogy, which is massive. It's the size of Best Sister Ever and An Audience With Carstairs combined. So add me to your favorites and don't miss a chapter, because you ain't seen nothing yet.

Can't wait? Use promo code COMBO-35562 at checkout and save 33% on this combo pack: http://tiny.cc/carstairsdeal

At the very least, have a look at the lovely covers I've had made for them!

Yup, Best Sister Ever is gone

You know how they say information wants to be free? Well, not my books. My books want to help me get a new iPhone ;-) So I'm afraid Best Sister Ever was removed earlier today. It is now available on Amazon and they won't allow me to have it online for free, if I want to participate in certain promotions.

I'd like to thank the 1142 people who voted and gave 421 perfect tens and the others who gave mostly nines and eights. (That's 95% of all voters.) Amazing. Dozens and dozens of you wrote in to tell me you enjoyed the story. I'm always very happy to hear from you!

If you want to get Best Sister Ever, I'd much rather you didn't use Amazon. They're horrible for authors. It's available from me directly at https://www.thereluctantguide.com/webshop/

Start reading the new adventures of Martin, Kate, Melody, Kelly and some wonderful new friends (some with benefits) right now, without having to wait for weekly updates!

We have reached the end of book one!

Thank you for reading and your kind emails, of which there have been many. This was the first part of a trilogy. The sequel, 'An Audience With Carstairs', has been available for a while now.

An Audience With Carstairs' brings Melody back in Martin's life and introduces a new, wonderful woman. In this book Martin's career starts off in earnest. He ends up saving a priceless piece of art and... Well, you'll just have to read it for yourself. I promise you he and Kate get it on in this one. I made you wait for it all through this book, but I won't do that again :)

As of Nov. 15th I'm pleased to announce that the final part of Martin's journey is also out. You know how the first book is usually the best? Well, not here! It's titled 'And The Winner Is' and it is massive: 470 pages. In fact, it's as big as 'Best Sister Ever' AND 'An Audience With Carstairs' combined.

Get them at https://www.thereluctantguide.com/webshop/
