First, thank you everyone for your kind feedback about Cuffs. There have been a lot of requests for a sequel which is indeed possible.
In the meantime, I've sent the Master Delegates in for editing and will start posting relatively soon. Fourteen chapters with some new characters, but overall a lot less people in it. I suspect this will be the third and final book for the Master, though Interludes are always possible. While I'm waiting for editing, I've been rereading and cleaning up mistakes and continuity errors in the Master Downstairs and the Master Decides. I'll repost everything soon to ensure the best version is available.
Enjoy
My newest story, Open, is supposedly based on a visit to the US Open tennis tournament. I can promise you that if you go, fantastic as it is, this story does not represent a likely outcome. However, while I was sitting in the stadium, the idea occurred to me. Later, the thought of it stuck with me enough to write the story. I hope you enjoy it.
If you're one of the authors here, how often do you take a normal thing like this and turn it into a story beyond belief?
I'm working on the next and probable final part of The Master Decides series of stories.
My editor's been helping in several ways, but as he says, it's my story. Which is true.
However, there are two elements in this new story which are driven entirely by reader feedback. It's not that I needed ideas, but the gentle nudge made me think about things slightly differently.
Thanks as always, feedback welcome.
The first chapter of the Master Downstairs was just an idea that stuck in my head for a month or two. It wasn't a fully formed story, it was just that tension of "a naked woman in the living room and the eerily calm way she told me my wife was downstairs with the Master."
What I've learned since then is that writing these types of stories is not "exciting" in the way reading one tends to be. It's your story, the only surprise is what you craft for the readers. You tend to be more worried about continuity or story gaps, perhaps with typos than with the actual sex scenes.
What is exciting is getting feedback, of all types. I now make a practice of giving feedback to almost every story I read all the way through. Sometimes it's just pointing out a few things I'd appreciate being told about. Other times, it's to say I really liked a character. It doesn't take much, but I like doing it. Maybe one of them like me, would not have written more than the first chapter unless people wrote in and said they liked it.
There are 2-3 more Interludes chapters and another full story shaping up right now. I'll probably start posting in August.
Enjoy your Northern Hemisphere summer!
I'm a few chapters away from finishing and closing all the loops. I'm finding less time to work on it, it's starting to feel repetitive, the score keeps dropping :) I have my plot roughly worked out, but I have to read both stories all the way through again to make sure it still makes sense.
Feedback is always greatly appreciated and responded to, so feel free to let me know what you think.
