AAATSL has now been downloaded 200,000 times!

I had no idea what to expect when I decided to try my hand at this fiction writing thing at the start of the year. Six months later, we're 27 chapters in and the feedback has been incredible.

I can't thank you all enough for taking the time to read and comment and score the thing. In particular, the feedback after chapter 25 was almost as emotional as writing it. I'm pleased that the chapter touched so many of you, and your taking the time to let me know certainly touched me.

On a more personal note, we just finished the baseball season for my son. His team managed to finish 5th at the state tournament this weekend. It was a proud dad weekend, and he even scored the winning run in a key game Sunday. We have another couple of vacations coming up, and I have some time to burn from work while the summer lasts here in the Midwest. I haven't spent nearly enough time in the pool, and I plan to rectify that. There's a little less time to write, but I do plan to finish up this first book by the end of the summer. After that, I'll take a break to refresh and plot out book two, Jake's sophomore year.

I'm also planning to go back through the first book for some edits and corrections. For book two, I plan to be several chapters ahead of publishing days, so if you're an editor who likes my story, contact me through mail on the site and we'll see if we're a good fit. I have an editor now, but sometimes she's busy, and she's really just a good second set of eyes, not a pro. I need someone who knows balls and strikes, the infield fly rule and will rap my knuckles for ending a sentence in a preposition. If that's you, contact me.

So I'm just a few pages into Chapter 28. Jake is celebrating a birthday and finds himself the object of a few girl's attention. I'm sure you can't wait to see how he handles it.

I can't either, so I'll get back to writing.

First blog post here. I'm thankful to everyone who took the time to download An All American Teenage Sex Life. It's been very rewarding.

The story has been downloaded 100,000 times, and most chapters have the same number of downloads. There are several thousand of you downloading a new chapter weekly.

This is my first attempt at fiction writing, and I could not be more pleased.

As I write this, I'm about halfway through chapter 19. We're getting closer to finding out what happened at Christmas. The buildup is on and Jake and Mel's relationship starts to spin out of control. The big reveal is 2-3 chapters ahead. After that, a wild summer is upcoming and I am considering ending this first book as summer ends, then resuming with a new book for the Sophomore Season.
