I just wanted to clear a few things up. The scene mentioned in my last post is in chapter eleven and not chapter twelve. Also, I have updated chapter eleven. Hopefully, it will eliminate most of the confusion. As I am writing this, it's awaiting approval to be posted and should be updated soon. Again, thank you for your comments and feel free to ask questions, should you have any.
I understand that a lot of people may get mad because my story says that birds are not animals. Even though birds are considered animals (not being plants or stones), there are many arguments that could suggest otherwise. However, I feel as if an argument, for or against, would matter in my story. This is a fantasy world created by me and filled with magic. As the poet, Arthur O'Shaunessy said, "We are the music-makers and we are the dreamers of dreams." I do, however, try to stick to reality as much as possible, so I will offer this explanation.
For the purposes of this story, birds are not animals. Not just because science has separated them from the classification, But as the characters will reveal in another chapter, birds are magical creatures classified under Paleo-Animalius, separate from the classification of Animalia. So don't confuse it with real-life where the rules were already written. Thank you for your comments. Please keep them coming.
I have resubmitted updated versions of all chapters I have published on this site. That includes both of my stories. Check them out again and don't forget to leave a comment or e-mail. And once again, thank you to everyone who commented on my stories.
Chapter one has been edited, and I have reposted it. I will try to repost an edited chapter a day until I'm caught back up.
The stories that I post on this site are my mostly unedited first drafts. I'm sorry the story is confusing. I am still learning some of the finer points of writing. Sometimes I'm in such a hurry to get new ideas down, that I miss some of the basics. I will repost the entire story when I'm finished writing it, and the final edit is complete. To everyone who has commented, I would like to say thank you. Not just for the praise, but also the criticism. I am learning a lot from them, so don't be shy about correcting me. I will try to keep this draft as clear as I can before it is properly edited. So, if there's something that you need to be cleared up, let me know and I will fix it. Thank you, again to everyone reading my story.
